DER Touristik Hotel Division’s latest investment

Cologne/Frankfurt, 27 September 2023. DER Touristik Hotel Division continues to invest in hotels of its own: Following the acquisition of the Aldiana Club Ampflwang in July, the hotel division of the DER Touristik Group has now announced its next purchase. Subject to the fulfilment of contractual closing conditions, DTH Real Estate Fuerteventura S.L (Morro Jable, Spain), a member of the DER Touristik Group, will be purchasing Aldiana Club Fuerteventura.  

The popular Aldiana Club nestled in the Canary Islands has been an integral part of the Aldiana portfolio for a long time and was previously operated on a leasehold basis. The spacious complex with direct beach access has a total of 361 rooms.

This latest acquisition is consistent with the strategy that DER Touristik Hotel Division has been implementing: “Investment in selected hotel property is one of our long-term goals. This makes the fourth hotel in total – and the second Aldiana club hotel – that we will be running as owners, a positive development in our eyes,” says Georg Schmickler, CEO DER Touristik Group Hotel Division.

The Aldiana Club Fuerteventura is located in a picturesque bay in Morro Jable. High above the sea, the small bungalows of the extensive club complex offer views of long sandy beaches, natural rock formations and the Atlantic Ocean. The resort offers a comprehensive range of activities, sports and wellness facilities for families and couples, which are very popular with regular guests.

“The Aldiana Club Fuerteventura promises an enjoyable and relaxing Canary Islands holiday in a beautiful location. Fans of water sports in particular get their money’s worth here and can enjoy a variety of activities – be it kite-surfing, surfing or diving,” Schmickler goes on to explain.

DER Touristik Group took over Aldiana completely in 2022 and has since laid the foundations for further expanding the premium brand: For example, the Aldiana Club Side Beach opened in Turkey this past summer, and another club in Egypt will follow in 2024.
