DALMATIA

Dalmatia is a region on the southern coast of Croatia, bordered by Bosnia and Herzegovina to the west and in the south by Montenegro. The region is divided into Northern, Central and Southern Dalmatia. The main urban centre of Northern Dalmatia is Zadar, which is also the main ferry port for the northern Dalmatian islands. The next major town is Sibenik, with a quiet historic centre and a wonderful 15th century cathedral. The waterfalls of the Krka National Park are another highlight.

The main natural attraction in this part of Dalmatia is the Kornati archipelago, a group of wonderful islands.
Southern Dalmatia is one of the most urbanised parts of the Adriatic coast. Split is the historic and cultural centre that also serves as the Adriaticֹ’s main ferry port.
One of the historically important cities in Dalmatia is Dubrovnik. It is located in the southernmost part of Dalmatia and has about 43,000 inhabitants. It is also one of the most visited cities, with a beautiful old town, a large port and an international airport (DBV). Most of the luxury hotels in Dalmatia are located in Dubrovnik.
Another highlight is the Renaissance town of Trogir, with the cathedral of St Lawrence and the Cipiko Palace. The coast south of Split is one of Dalmatias most enchanting, with beautiful mountains and long pebble beaches.

MONTENEGRO

Welcome to Montenegro with its majestic mountains, stunning beaches, and welcoming, friendly people. If you are looking for hospitality, hidden treasures, and excellent food, you will find it all in Montenegro.

With less than 300km of coastline, Montenegro offers some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Europe. The mountains rise sharply from the crystal-clear waters. Prepare your camera for some breathtaking photos. Escape the crowded cities in the rugged mountains and the primeval forest. In these unknown places, you will enjoy hiking, mountain biking, or kayaking almost on your own. Be prepared to spot wolves and bears in the wilderness.

Ancient walled towns hang from the rocks almost touching the sea, solid fortresses protecting the surrounding areas. Churches, monasteries, mosques, and many historic sites, such as Kotor, a UNESCO world heritage site, await your visit.

Montenegro is a fascinating place for anyone with an interest in European history, exploring the wilderness, or sunbathing at the Mediterranean Sea. What are you waiting for?

SLOVENIA

Slovenia is located in the middle of Europe, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean landscape. The small country covers about 20,273 square kilometres and has 2.06 million inhabitants.

Slovenia is one of the greenest countries in Europe: 60% of its territory is covered by forests. There are also more than 24,000 animal species. UNESCO has recognised the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park as the only Slovenian wetland area. Because of the unique climatic conditions, there is a wide variety of leisure activities available within 24 hours: pick autumnal fruits in the morning, bathe in the Adriatic Sea while waiting for lunch, and go skiing at night. Where else is this possible?
Slovenia has a variety of areas: the Julian Alps, Pohorje, the Carst or the Istria. All destinations are worth visiting.
The capital city of Slovenia is Ljubljana, which is also the largest city. Ljubljana is well known for its beautiful historic city centre. The Tivoli Park, the castle of Ljubljana and the national museum of Slovenia are just a few of the highlights. Ljubljana has a university with over 60,000 students from all over the world. The nightlife is also a highlight of Ljubljana – you can find lots of bars, pubs and clubs there.
No matter what you are interested in, there’s something for everyone!
