Pafos is located in the west side of the island. According to mythology, it is considered as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, who was born here coming out of the foam of the sea.

The city of Pafos itself has a population of about 50,000 and is the smallest of the Cyprus cities. Pafos has two main districts: a) Kato Pafos which is the area of the picturesque harbour and b) Ktima, the actual city centre where the most of the public buildings such as the municipality hall and most of the shops are situated.
Pafos, this is also a space of great scenic beauty. Its unique attraction lies in the striking alternation between rugged cliffs and fertile coastal lines.
With its ancient walls and fortifications, the harbour of Pafos is a romantic and cozy place surrounded by the Castle of Pafos and charming tavernas, coffee shops etc. Just a few hundred meters from the harbour are the truly stunning mosaics in the “House of Dionysus” and a couple of kilometres further are the famous “Tombs of the Kings“.
From PFO airport people can easily reach the area of Polis/Latchi and Limassol.
Limassol is only a 50-minute drive and is the second largest city of Cyprus with 150,000 inhabitants. It is the core of wine production, the largest port city and an important commercial and tourist centre.
Experience Limassol’s casual holiday atmosphere with its long-running coastal promenade and bustling shopping streets, which is especially complemented by the joie de vivre of the city’s population. Discover the charm of the old town with its original core with lots of tavernas, coffee shops, bars, in combination with a walk to Limassol marina where people can enjoy nice food, drink, music etc.
Polis/Latchi is located north of Paphos. Due to its unspoilt nature, Polis is the ideal place to stay for hikers and nature lovers. From Polis, the road leads towards Akamas via the small fishing harbour of Latchi, with its numerous good fish taverns.
On both sides of Latchi you will find beautiful sand/pebble beaches, which like many beaches in Cyprus are awarded with the blue flag. Further west you reach the baths of the Aphrodite and the gateway to the Akamas peninsula, a natural wilderness of incredible beauty, with breath-taking gorges, sensational coastlines and easy-to-walk hiking trails.
