in MEXICO
Mexico, almost six times the size of Germany, is a country between the United States and Central America, known for its beaches on the Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico, and its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts, and jungles. Ancient ruins, such as Teotihuacan and the Mayan city of Chichen Itza, are scattered throughout the country, as are cities from the Spanish colonial era. In the capital, Mexico City, elegant stores, famous museums, and gourmet restaurants are part of modern life.
This country wants to be discovered! The best way to do so is on one of our round trips: Follow the traces of the Aztecs and Maya on one of our bus tours.
Let yourself be impressed by one of the metropolises of the world and colonial cities. And for the perfect end to your trip, simply relax at one of our many resorts on Caribbean beaches!
Main airports are Mexico City (MEX) and Cancún (CUN).

CANCÚN
Cancún is a city in Mexico located on the Yucatan Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea and is known for its beaches, numerous resorts and nightlife. It is composed of 2 distinct areas: the more traditional downtown area which can easily be reached by public bus and the Hotel Zone, the seaside resort of superlatives on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
Besides excellent restaurants, numerous discotheques, bars, and shopping facilities, you will fall in love with the long white beaches of Cancún. Water sports activities such as water skiing, parasailing, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling, and Scuba diving can be booked along this coastal strip.
The area north of Cancún, Costa Mujeres/Playa Mujeres, has only recently been developed. Here the visitor finds rather pristine and natural sandy beaches, framed by mangrove forests.

HOLBOX
Holbox is an island located in the north of the Yucatan Peninsula, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It is part of the Yum Balam nature reserve and is separated from the mainland by the Yalahau lagoon, home to flamingos and pelicans. The island lies between the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, with waters teeming with marine flora and fauna, including sea turtles, and therefore a still largely unknown natural paradise, for people seeking peace and quiet.
Until a few years ago the island was an absolute insider tip and even today the number of visitors, due to the size of the hotels, remains within a manageable framework.
There is only one very tranquil village on the island, Holbox, a typical Caribbean coastal village with sandy streets and wooden houses. The village can be reached within a few minutes’ walk from the hotels. In the village, you will find restaurants and bars, as well as a pharmacy.

MEXICO CITY
Experience the capital of Mexico, one of the greatest cities in the world. This lively metropolis offers a lot of variety: traditional markets are held in front of ultra-modern skyscrapers and imposing Spanish colonial buildings. Directly next to the cathedral at the “Zócalo”, the largest public square in the city, are the ruins of the former Aztec center. Surrounded by the volcanoes “Popocatepetl” and “Ixtaccihuatl”, Mexico City offers breathtaking scenery.
Other highlights of the city are the Palace of Fine Arts “Bellas Artes”, the observation tower “Torre Latinoamericana” as well as the world-famous Anthropological Museum, which offers a comprehensive insight into the pre-Columbian cultures. A special excursion is a visit to the floating gardens of of Xochimilco – here you can experience the real Mexican joie de vivre!

RIVIERA MAYA
The Riviera Maya is a tourist area of Mexico, located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, in the state of Quintana Roo. Geographically, it extends along the coastline, from the town of Puerto Morelos in the north to the town of Punta Allen in the south, about 210 km long.
The white beaches and the crystal-colored water were decisive for the name of this region. Exactly between Cancún and Tulúm, about 70 km south of Cancún, is the town of Playa del Carmen. This former fishing village has developed within the last years into an important seaside resort with a lot of charm. The numerous hotels are “camouflaged” into the landscape since a law prescribes that the hotels must not be higher than the highest palm tree.
In Playa del Carmen’s pedestrian zone, which runs parallel to the beach, there are numerous typical but also modern bars and restaurants.
